State Repository

All states collate criminal conviction information from every county in their state. This information is usually held in the city of the state capital. There are 37 OPEN states that allow for the public to view their records. There is usually a state mandated fee for accessing this criminal information. All states have different requirements for access. Some states issue legal requirements to run this search prior to gainful employment.


Expedited Statewide

This search is an all-county state search. This search may be a cost-effective alternative to multiple county searches. The Expedited Statewide is also a great alternative to cumbersome and expensive state repository searches, in situations where a state repository search is not mandated for a given industry. This search has been proven to be more accurate, timely, and less expensive that state repositories. It is available in 16 States.


Database Statewide

This is typically a Department of Correction search that may contain other criminal information held by various state agencies. This search has been known to create “false-positives” – meaning there is a higher potential for missed records. This search has a quick turnaround time and is inexpensive. We only recommend this search as a pointing device for possible records that can then be sourced from a County Criminal search.


County Criminal Search

Popularly known as an “On-Site” search, this search utilizes a professional criminal record court retriever to physically visit the District court house to pull county criminal information. This search typically covers Felony and some misdemeanor criminal information, if the misdemeanor information is available at the same court house. Some counties have an access fee. This search produces the most current and accurate information.


Federal District Searches by State

Every state has any number of Federal District Court Divisions. This search sources crimes that are typically crimes against the federal government. All results are Federal Felony results. Most hiring government agencies do require this search to be run a matter of standard government hiring policy.


Motor Vehicle Record

Verifies traffic violations, expiration date, restrictions, and class rating.


Education Verification

Verifies dates of attendance and highest degree earned.


Employment Verification

Verifies former employer, dates of employment, job description, duties, salary, and reason form leaving.


General Services Administration (GSA) Check

A database listing entities and individuals excluded from participating in Federal procurement programs.


Office of the Inspector General (OIG) Check

A database listing individuals or entities excluded from program payment due to Medicare or Medicaid fraud or abuse. Hospitals and other healthcare institutions should carefully follow the Office of Inspector General Compliance Program Guidance. Medicare, Medicaid and other federal funding can be at risk otherwise.


Professional License Check

Verification of the validity of an individual’s professional license. Also confirms that the license is current and in good standing.


Sex Offender Registry Check

This is a check against a states published sex offender listing.


Credit Check
